Position Overview:
As part of the Marketing team within the corporate Building Business Unit, the Product Marketing Manager will drive the growth of the Building Business by leading the development of innovative products and services in the Wiring Devices segment (plugs, sockets, switches, and electrical installation components). The role will manage the lifecycle of the building portfolio, with a specific focus on adapting and launching solutions for International Markets requiring British Standard (BS) and/or German (DIN VDE), from concept to launch and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Analysis

  • Monitor market size, competition, and positioning, with a global perspective and localized insights.
  • Analyze customer needs, market trends, and international technical regulations to identify opportunities for new products, variants, or business models.
  • Evaluate opportunities in terms of growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with local marketing teams for deeper and quicker market insights, maintaining a strong connection with customers through visits, tradeshows, webinars, and industry associations.

2. Product Management

  • Develop marketing strategies for the International Wiring Devices portfolio, defining a clear and differentiating value proposition for international standards in collaboration with the Solution Marketing Manager.
  • Collaborate with Product Specialists to define functional specifications, providing crucial inputs to R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure compliance with local markets requirements
  • Contribute to the creation of business plans for new internationalization projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and monitoring target margins
  • Support launch plans in partnership with Commercial Excellence, Strategic Marketing, and Cluster Marketing teams, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate end-to-end product development processes, from concept to market launch, working closely with PMO and cross-functional teams.

3. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the lifecycle of the International Wiring Devices portfolio, monitoring business performance and alignment with roadmap objectives.
  • Manage the marketing mix to maintain alignment with target positioning in different geographical areas.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization, and recommending product phase-outs when appropriate.

 

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience in Product Marketing within the electrical or electrotechnical industry (Wiring devices, domestic series, electrical installations).
  • Proven knowledge of international standards: British Standard and/or German Standard
  • Proven ability to design and execute go-to-market strategies and define comprehensive marketing mixes.
  • Excellent command of English and Italian (German knowledge is considered a strong plus)
