The role is oriented towards a candidate with a technical approach, preferably from companies that develop products and systems of wiring devices for the residential/commercial sector, and who will be focused on the solutions managed within the Building Business Unit.

The figure will be inserted within the Product Specialist (PS) team of the Building BU, and will specifically deal with:

• Analysis and proposal of technological and regulatory developments affecting building wiring solutions (Civil Series, LAN/FTTH infrastructure, mobile connections, and more)
• Market demand analysis and various application contexts to propose trends and development or modification needs, in collaboration with BU Marketing
• Collaboration with BU Marketing in defining and monitoring product KPIs
• Stakeholder needs analysis to create the customer journey supporting the R&D department, in collaboration with BU Marketing
• Detailed technical analysis of competitors and structuring a comparison with one's own solutions, using QFD or similar methods
• Support for maintaining the BU offering and defining the roadmap by proposing updates to existing solutions or innovation/evolution projects
• Proposal of innovative content and product range assortment for new solutions requested by BU Marketing, to provide differentiating factors from competitors
• Definition of product requirements, translating the value proposition devised by the BU Marketing division into technical requirements for development and active participation in the cross-functional product development stream
• Collaboration with BU Project Manager in structuring and monitoring project progress plans
• Collaboration with Supply Chain and R&D for scouting external solutions and support in sourcing alternatives for existing products and/or components
• Interface with the Quality, Laboratory, and Brand department to structure and oversee tests on own solutions, whether new or existing
• Support for internal department training regarding analyzed trends and ongoing projects, and support for the Assistance Service for any issues related to the offered solutions
• Writing of technical documents in support of the product/solution (e.g., instruction sheets)

It will be further advantageous to have a customer-oriented approach, knowing how to collaborate with the Marketing department to support its activities, and interpreting customer needs and market opportunities.
