Mission: Accountable for the profitable growth and marketing of the Business Unit portfolio, monitoring and managing it through all its lifecycle phases, according to market needs and BU short and long-term strategy. Guides the value proposition innovation and evolution, its strategic positioning and launch on international markets, and provides inputs for portfolio enhancements based on specific needs of target verticals-segments-customers and emerging market trends.

 

Strategy: Contributes to the overall BU’s strategy definition and supports the profitable growth objectives, creating and managing the solution roadmap. Guarantees a constant alignment with Strategic Marketing and other BUs, to increase the synergy between solutions, and empowering Gewiss positioning and competitiveness in the market. Leads market analysis in collaboration with Cluster Marketing teams, profiling target stakeholders, defining verticals and channels positioning, identifying differentiating value proposition and portfolio or business model, both against competitors and new market opportunities. Develops marketing plans to bridge supply and demand; coordinates interfunctional teams to maximize the value for customers and the internal Operations efficiency; guarantees together with the Strategic Marketing the definition and execution by Clusters of launch plans that support the vision and positioning of each project.

 

Monitoring: Analysis of current offering and the related business, defining and tracking performance metrics such as volumes, profitability and service level, planning appropriate countermeasures or improvement actions (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, repositioning, phase-outs) to drive profitable growth. Ensures correct and consistent price positioning is applied for all countries, products, verticals and channels together with Pricing department and Clusters. Acts as an interface between external market and internal functions (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and others) to make sure the customer needs are fulfilled, and guaranteeing an operational and marginality optimization. Supervise and coordinates the launch plans definition and execution on target markets. Based on Business Plans and coworking with other departments (Quality, Service, Legal…) and Clusters, has the responsibility to block or unlock sales for each product family in specific markets

 

Product Life Cycle Management: Owns the product portfolio and its lifecycle (PLC). Coordinating a team of Product Marketing Managers, drives cross-functional innovation processes based on market needs and opportunities, defining the roadmap (investment proposals and business plan) together with BU and other functions, both in case of new products and improvements of existing ones, prioritizing activities based on BU/corporate strategy and expected returns. Defines training needs and drives creation of proper activities and material to support sales and customers. Initiates and drives product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation in collaboration with corporate Marketing department and Cluster Marketing. Manages the phase out process, optimizing the solution portfolio towards the market, and supporting the company’s stock management

 

People leadership: Guides, motivates and develops the team of Installation Product Marketing Managers who directly report to her/him, and Clusters/Countries PMs who work with her/him on a matrix level, ensuring with HR support that the area of responsibility is properly staffed, organized and skilled
