Gewiss is looking for a Testing Engineer to be included in the Test Laboratory Department, in charge of laboratory activities at the Bergamo site.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Carrying out, at the laboratory, product type tests to ensure compliance with reference standards;

- Drawing up, according to the different product families, the relevant test plans and documentation with the results of the tests performed

- Manage activities relating to the development of new products by supporting other departments

- Carry out type and routine tests on products to ensure compliance and conformity with technical/quality requirements

- Manage non-conformities and related failure analysis both internally and from the market and define appropriate corrective and preventive actions ensuring timely solutions.

- Manage verification and support activities with suppliers, for problems in the technical/management sphere, in order to ensure compliance and conformity with the technical/quality reference requirements of materials.

- Conduct operations aimed at continuous improvement of both processes and products.

REQUIREMENTS:

 - Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical training;

- Good knowledge of industrial plastic transformation processes (extrusion and/or injection moulding);

- 2/3 years' experience in a similar role (test laboratory and/or Quality);

- Good knowledge of the English language;

- Availability for short assignments and travel to other Gewiss group sites;

- Ability to analyse, organised, goal-oriented and problem-solving approach.
