Job Summary: The Specification Manager will be responsible for generating and managing specifications for our lighting products within the architectural, office, and residential sectors. The primary focus will be on collaborating with lighting designers stationed in Dubai and across the Middle East, with a special emphasis on projects in Saudi Arabia. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key specifiers to ensure our products are included in new construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with lighting designers, architects, and other key specifiers in the Middle East, focusing more on projects in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Provide technical support and expertise on our lighting products and solutions to specifiers.
• Conduct presentations and training sessions on the benefits and applications of Performance in Lighting's products.
• Identify and pursue new specification opportunities in the architectural, office, and residential lighting markets.
• Ensure our products are specified in project specifications and design documents.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and update product literature, technical documents, and promotional materials.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and relevance of our products.
• Prepare and deliver detailed product specifications and proposals to clients and specifiers.
• Track and report on specification activities, opportunities, and outcomes in a quantifiable way with clear KPIs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Lighting Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the lighting industry, preferably in a specification role.
• Strong understanding of architectural, office, and residential lighting design principles, products, and applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Proficiency in using specification and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, DIALux).
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as LC (Lighting Certified) or IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) membership.
• Experience working with LED lighting products and technologies.
• Familiarity with sustainable lighting practices and LEED certification.
• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia.
