Job Responsibilities:

  • The candidate is expected to operate as a Market Area Product Manager who will primarily be responsible for all product management activities for the lighting portfolio in MEA, Turkey, and APAC in collaboration with the Business Unit, local sales team, and other stakeholders in the marketplace.
  • Act as Business Development while addressing the commercial team on the Go to Market approach.
  • Monitor and follow up key projects, supporting sales team with special requirements.
  • Provide sales forecasts for management based on CRM, inputs from sales/customers and market info collection.
  • Support the sales team with key projects or tender as well as assisting them to visit specific customers, consultants, or lighting designers.
  • Ensures in collaboration with Cluster Marketing Manager a good understanding of market sizes, standards, verticals and channels positioning, value proposition and potential portfolio or business model gaps, both against competition and new market opportunities.
  • Increase Market Share & Profitability through vertical and channel mix strategy, by proposing the right product mix and key targets for the different markets.
  • Build up Competitive advantage by Introducing Differentiated value proposition for the different lighting solutions, conducting trainings to our sales force.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • The PM will be responsible for committing and delivering the numbers agreed on the portfolio in alignment with the HGR General Manager.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, translating findings into actionable product and market strategies.
  • Execute, review, monitor progress of strategic KPIs performance periodically (Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly, Yearly reports) as well as being a key player on building up the short and long-term strategy for the lighting portfolio in the assigned markets.
  • Market analysis by verticals and channels, identifying main competitors, market trends and product gaps. Propose improvements, customizations, and new products to the business unit with accurate data on technical needs and business opportunity.
  • Be responsible for the lighting product launches, developing the Go-to-market strategy with the Cluster Marketing Manager.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product, product characteristics changes.
  • Assess market competition by comparing Gewiss products to competitors’ products.
  • Technical comparison between existing portfolio, main products in the market and solution trends.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, design, marketing, and sales to ensure successful execution of product plans and meet business objectives.
  • Acts like focal point of contact between headquarter and product managers across HGR subsidiaries.
  • Works on product/marketing documentation and needed training material to ensure it is available both internally and externally.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to commercial lighting, sharing knowledge and insights with the business unit as appropriate.
  • Manage and coordinate the local PM teams on:
    • providing a quality service to customers,
    • Solving technical questions, express marketing support requirements or
    • post-sales requests.
