Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive technical support for our lighting products, including lighting design, technical submittal support, prequalification activities with end users, and after-sales quality management. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the lighting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lighting Design: Utilize lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) to create detailed lighting designs and layouts that meet client specifications and project requirements.
  • Technical Submittal Support: Prepare and review technical submittals for lighting projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Prequalification Activities: Assist in the prequalification process with end users and consultants, providing necessary technical documentation and support.
  • After-Sales Quality Management: Manage after-sales technical support and quality issues, ensuring prompt resolution of customer concerns and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical assistance and support to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving product-related issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment and support for ongoing projects and customer requirements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices to provide the most relevant and effective technical support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Lighting Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the lighting industry.
  • Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical knowledge of lighting products and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as LC (Lighting Certified) or IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) membership.
  • Experience working with LED lighting products and technologies.
  • Familiarity with sustainable lighting practices and LEED certification.
  • Previous experience in a customer support or technical support role.
