Gewiss is looking for a Pricing Specialist located in Germany, responsible for DACH
The Pricing Manager needs to speak German fluently at least a B2 level.
The job includes a 6 months onboarding partially in Italy, so willingness to travel in the beginning is of key importance.
The candidate will join the Corporate Pricing & Revenue Generation team, reporting to the Pricing and Revenue Generation Manager, in a rapidly evolving and dynamic context.
In particular, the Company is undergoing a highly strategic transformation project to restructure the pricing operating model across the entire organization.
In this perspective, the candidate will be given responsibility on selected markets from an end-to-end perspective; specifically:
- the rollout of the new pricing model in the local organization
- the yearly price review process (price strategy, price list and commercial policy setting, …)
- the day-to-day pricing operations of local countries
In the different areas, the main responsibilities will concern:
Roll-out
- As-Is Analysis: Assess current situation in terms of price positioning and commercial policy;
- Review of the country pricing structure, taking care of :
- Market intelligence: benchmark with competitors (cross refs, prices collection, technical differences evaluations);
- Definition of pricing strategy and of target price positioning;
- Definition of commercial policy (discounts and bonus scheme) and assessment of its efficacy and sustainability;
- Review of the country price list;
- Local on-boarding: Implementation and training to local teams of the new Pricing Software
- Project management: Ensure the respect of timings taking care of updating the project GANTT in dedicated PM tools throughout the rollout in each country.
Yearly price review process
- Baselining: Assess yearly performance of the markets under responsibility and evaluate pricing and margin impact of implemented measures, providing insights for next year pricing review;
- Pricing strategy review: Assess pricing strategy by channel, product and customer and suggest areas of improvement;
- Price setting: Define next year pricing objectives in terms of price list, commercial policy, specifically taking care of data collection, development of simulation scenarios for profitability improvement and initiatives to achieve target
- Pricing implementation; Develop intercompany pricing conditions, define goals and KPI to assess the efficacy of the determined actions.
Pricing operations
- Pricing support: Support local countries in their pricing operations, especially negotiations with customers, special projects and tool support
- Monitoring: constant monitoring of pricing and margin results, investigating cause and developing scenarios and potential courses of actions to mitigate problems and risk
- Leadership update: The frequent sharing of results to regional and HQ leaders of achieved results and on-going activities
The candidate will work closely with local countries (in their selected markets) and other corporate functions involved in pricing processes such as: Business Units, Commercial Excellence, Clusters (markets), Industrial Costs, Controlling.
These positions represent a starting point for integration in clusters’ teams as Cluster Operational Pricing Managers, with international relocations after an initial 6-months period in the Corporate Pricing and Revenue Generation Team in Cenate Sotto (Bergamo – Italy).
The future working locations will be the following Cluster
- Cluster DACH Germany – Merenberg or Goslar
Requirements
The ideal profile is a young graduate (1st or 2nd level) in economics or business intelligence and data analytics, mathematics or statistics, with an excellent knowledge of the English language (min. B2) and good economic preparation.
German language at least B2 or better, but fluently spoken is a minimum requirement.
The ideal candidate either lives close to or is willing to travel at least 2 times monthly in one of the offices in Merenberg or in Goslar.
Previous experience in Pricing analyst or Business analyst roles could represent a plus, along with experience of use/knowledge of Data Analytics tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau.
A solid knowledge of Excel is mandatory.
