At our production site in Ottfingen near Olpe, we manufacture high-quality tripping relays for residual current devices (RCDs) on state-of-the-art, automated production lines. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and motivated Deputy Plant Manager (m/f/d) who is eager to contribute to the continued success and development of our operations.

Your Responsibilities
As Deputy Plant Manager (m/f/d), you will support and relieve the Plant Manager in the leadership and continuous development of our production facility. Your key responsibilities include:
Production Planning and Control
- Ensuring on-time, cost-effective, and high-quality production
- Planning and coordinating personnel, materials, and machine capacities
- Monitoring compliance with production and quality standards
- Analyzing existing production processes and identifying optimization opportunities
Technical Management
- Ensuring the technical availability and reliability of all production equipment
- Planning and overseeing maintenance and servicing activities
- Optimizing production facilities and manufacturing processes
- Ensuring compliance with legal, technical, and health & safety requirements
Process Optimization and Lean Management
- Implementing and further developing Lean Manufacturing methodologies (e.g., 5S)
- Managing and monitoring continuous improvement activities (CIP)
- Developing and implementing new processes, quality control systems, and efficiency measures
- Driving initiatives to reduce costs and increase productivity
Quality Management
- Ensuring product quality in accordance with Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and relevant industry standards
- Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of management systems according to:
- ISO 9001
- ISO 14001
- ISO 45001
- Assisting with audits and certification processes
Budget and Project Responsibility
- Supporting budget planning and cost controlling activities
- Coordinating and monitoring investment and maintenance projects
- Collaborating with internal and external experts
International Collaboration
- Willingness to travel to the GEWISS Headquarters in Italy
- Coordinating with suppliers and participating in joint analyses and projects
- Supporting investments and modernization projects for production equipment
People Leadership
- Functional and disciplinary leadership of production employees
- Workforce and resource planning
- Motivating, developing, and supporting team members
Health, Safety and Environmental Management
- Ensuring compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Promoting a sustainable culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Your Profile
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training with further qualification as a State-Certified Technician (m/f/d) or a degree in Electrical Engineering
- Alternatively, a comparable technical qualification
Professional Experience
- Several years of leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of modern production technologies and quality assurance methods
- Experience in production management and process optimization
Technical Expertise
- Strong technical understanding and analytical thinking skills
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing technologies, cost calculation, and technical process management
- Experience with Lean Management and Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) is an advantage
IT Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
Language Skills
- Native-level German proficiency or at least C2 level
- English proficiency at preferably C1 level
